The program implements the application of soil-improving biofertilizer and silicon that has been developed at ELGO DEMETER and consists of 74% by-products of the rice industry, but also from the gas production industry. For their composting, an accelerator with fungi of the genera Aspergillus, Bacillus and Pseudomonas is used. The accelerator will be used either directly in the field before plowing, or as a component of biofertilizer or biogas processing residues to accelerate biomass decomposition.

In any case, the application of beneficial microorganisms to the soil will result in rhizosphere competition with pathogens and disease control. Producers will be trained in biofertilizer production, application of accelerator, biofertilizer and digester of biogas processing in paddy fields.

In the pilot fields to be established, the practice of straw incorporation will be compared with the application of the bio-fertilizer decomposition accelerator and compost. Comparisons will include analyzes of physicochemical properties, nutrient content, population of beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms (microbial load). Finally, a comparison will be made of the yields, quality and production costs of the compared rice residue management systems.
